Nigerian music star Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has announced a temporary hiatus from releasing new music, shocking fans with the unexpected news.
The singer revealed that he would step away from producing new tracks until 2026, following the release of his highly anticipated EP, Uncle K, slated to drop on November 29, 2024.
“After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026,” he announced via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday. The declaration sparked mixed reactions from fans, with many expressing sadness over the prospect of his absence from the music scene.
Since his breakout hit Woju in 2016, Kizz Daniel has established himself as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hitmakers, releasing five studio albums and delivering an array of chart-topping singles.
Alongside the announcement of his music break, the artist also shared a deeply personal tragedy, revealing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer.
“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote, appealing to his fanbase for their support and prayers during this challenging time.
